Our vision

The importance of the climate signals emanating from glacier retreat is becoming increasingly clear to society. For example, the pronounced drought period in 2015 already triggered water supply problems for some Swiss communities. In the summer of 2021, it became clear that without the donation of water from the melting Alpine glaciers, the drought in northern Italy would have been much more severe. It is not surprising, then, that the idea of glacier protection contained in the MortAlive project is generating interest. However, the vision "Glaciers can grow again in the future" goes further, because in order for glaciers to grow again in the future, global climate protection efforts are required in addition to the urgently needed symptom control - more than 200 million people depend on the melting water of glaciers for their livelihood. With this central corporate vision, Gletschervision GmbH would like to make a contribution to this.
